A total of eight repeat selections and 14 first-time selections are part of the 2024 All-NFL team, chosen in voting conducted by the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA).
The Denver Broncos have a league-high four players on the All-NFL team, while the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers each have three players honored. The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals have two All-NFL selections each. In all, 16 clubs are represented among the 27 players honored by the PFWA.
Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell, Chiefs guard Joe Thuney, San Francisco 49ers, middle linebacker Fred Warner and Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt all repeat from the PFWA’s 2023 All-NFL squad.
Garrett was named All-NFL for the fifth time overall – all consecutive from 2020-24, the longest current streak among active players. Watt (2019-21, 2023-24) is also a five-time All-NFL selection, while Warner (2020, 2022-24) earned All-NFL honors for the fourth time.
One rookie, Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, was named to the All-NFL team, the first rookie since New York Jets cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner in 2022, and the first rookie tight end to make the All-NFL squad since the Philadelphia Eagles’ Keith Jackson in 1988.
The 2024 All-NFL offense includes the Ravens’ Jackson at quarterback (third selection; 2019, 2023-24), Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley (first selection) and the Ravens’ Derrick Henry (third selection; 2019-20, 2024) at running back, the Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase (first selection) and the Minnesota Vikings’ Justin Jefferson (second selection; 2022, 2024) at wide receiver, the Raiders’ Bowers at tight end, the Chiefs’ Creed Humphrey (first selection) at center, the Denver Broncos’ Quinn Meinerz (first selection) and the Chiefs’ Thuney (second selection; 2023-24) at guard with the Lions’ Sewell (second selection; 2023-24) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tristan Wirfs (second selection; 2021, 2024) at tackle.
The All-NFL defense is comprised of the Browns’ Garrett and the Bengals’ Hendrickson (third selection; 2020, 2023-24) at defensive end, the Steelers’ Cameron Heyward (third selection; 2019, 2021, 2024) and the Chiefs’ Jones (third selection; 2022-24) at defensive tackle, the Broncos’ Nik Bonitto (first selection) and the Steelers’ Watt at outside linebacker, the 49ers’ Warner at middle linebacker, the Houston Texans’ Derek Stingley Jr. (first selection) and the Broncos’ Patrick Surtain II (second selection; 2022, 2024) at cornerback with the Detroit Lions’ Kerby Joseph (first selection) and the Green Bay Packers’ Xavier McKinney (first selection) at safety.
The All-NFL special teams group is made up of the Steelers’ placekicker Chris Boswell (first selection), the Lions’ punter Jack Fox (first selection), the Dallas Cowboys’ KaVontae Turpin (first selection) at kick returner, the Broncos’ punt returner Marvin Mims Jr. (first selection) and the New England Patriots’ special teamer Brendan Schooler (first selection).
The PFWA also announced the 2024 All-AFC and All-NFC teams. Baltimore and Denver lead the AFC with four selections, while Kansas City, the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh each have three on the squad. Detroit leads all NFC clubs with eight selections, Philadelphia has five NFC honorees and Minnesota has four selections.
The PFWA has selected an All-NFL team since 1966, and All-AFC and All-NFC teams since 1992. The PFWA conducts separate voting ballots open to all members for the All-NFL, All-AFC and All-NFC teams.
