2018 NFL Media Access Policy

Each year, the National Football League reviews its media access policy that governs how NFL players, coaches and executives deal with the media on a daily and year-round basis. Everything from the amount and types of access each team must provide on a weekly basis, daily practice access, required press conferences to the disclosing of medical information via injury reports is handled within the sections below.

The Pro Football Writers of America consults with the NFL each year to discuss access issues as part of the PFWA’s stated mission to “promote and fight for access to NFL personnel to best serve the public”.

The PFWA values its members’ relationships with the NFL, the clubs and their respective public/media relations departments. A strong working relationship between all groups allows the public to get the best information on the NFL every day.
